Doing Good in the New Year

After a great break over the summer we are back delivering kai to schools and kindergartens across the Wellington, Porirua, and Hutt Valley region.

We are really proud of our food support programme - we provide fresh, healthy and tasty kai that tamariki want to eat, and that is good for them.

“The work we do makes me feel proud, providing healthy food for kids and families that might otherwise have gone without.“ Says Jordan, our delivery person

“We’ve seen demand steadily increase over the last few years for our services and we always feel so thrilled to keep providing support to the schools and kindergartens that we are currently.” Says Leigh, Operations Manager for Vulnerable Support Charitable Trust.

At the end of last year we visited Awatea Kindergerten, where we heard first hand from kaiako that whānau are finding it tough and the big difference that our support makes.

“We know that whānau can feel a lot of shame asking for help, so we are grateful that we are able to work with Do Some Good to provide kai.” Says Lani, kaiako at Awatea Kindergarten.

We are very grateful for the ongoing support of Moshims in providing us with fresh fruit and veggies each week to give out to schools and kindergartens.

Support from local businesses in the community makes a big difference for us.

Right now, we are currently looking for new sponsors who would like to support our work.

Do you know an individual, group or business who would like to make a difference in the lives of tamariki and their whānau?
