Take 10 Youth Zone

Our focus is to increase the reach Take 10 has in the community by extending the services we offer to rangatahi in the form of a youth zone.

Over the holidays we’ll be running a school holiday drop-in zone at the Linden Community Centre on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. We’ll be doing a range of activities such as dance workshops, cooking and so much more! Pop in anytime between 1 pm – 5 pm.

During the school term:

We’ll be in Linden, at the community centre on Tuesday afternoons running the School Homework Club, and Waitangi Skate Park every Friday afternoon.

Our team will be there offering our usual services: water, a charging station, games, and bean bags set up out the front with additional support services available.

How it works

Take 10 youth zone aims to:

  • support rangatahi
  • provide a safe and fun space for them to come to after school

We keep our “safe zone” welcoming and non-judgmental, by:

  • always using positive language
  • greeting visitors with a smile, water, and lollies
  • providing a private space for those who need more attention

Want to help?

We’re looking for volunteers to help in the afternoons, hand out water, talk to people, and make the Take 10 area an inviting place to be. Interested? Click below, fill in your details and we’ll get back to you!

We are also always on the lookout for medics and registered youth workers to join us and help make a difference. If you’re qualified and interested, please contact us.
