Take 10 Youth Zone/Arvo's

Our focus is to increase the reach Take 10 has in the community by extending the services we offer to rangatahi in the form of a youth zone.

During the school term:

We are in Linden, at the community centre on Tuesday afternoons running the School Homework Club, and Johnsonville Collective Community Hub every Friday afternoon.

Our team will be there offering our usual services: water, food, games, a chill-out space, bean bags and lots of cool workshops along with additional support services.

School Holiday Programmes

We will be hosting free drop-in’s in Tawa and Johnsonville over the school holidays.

We will have lunch/afternoon tea, games (including our much-loved table tennis), and more …

How it works

Take 10 youth zone aims to:

  • support rangatahi
  • provide a safe and fun space for them to come to after school

We keep our “safe zone” welcoming and non-judgmental, by:

  • always using positive language
  • greeting visitors with a smile, water, and lollies
  • providing a private space for those who need more attention

Want to help?

We’re looking for volunteers to help in the afternoons, hand out water, talk to people, and make the Take 10 area an inviting place to be. Interested? Click below, fill in your details and we’ll get back to you!

We are also always on the lookout for medics and registered youth workers to join us and help make a difference. If you’re qualified and interested, please contact us.

We love Take 10 Arvo’s, it’s a cool place to come after school and play some games. The food is good too!
